3. User Registration and Account

5. Payment Terms and Refunds

In accordance with Finnish consumer protection laws:

  • Course fees must be paid in advance unless otherwise specified
  • You have a 14-day withdrawal right from the date of purchase
  • Refunds will be processed within 14 days of valid refund requests
  • Partial refunds may be available for unused course portions
  • Corporate training packages may have different refund terms

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All educational content provided by Fobara, including but not limited to:

  • Course materials, videos, and written content
  • Software, applications, and learning tools
  • Logos, trademarks, and brand materials
  • Assessment tools and certification templates

Remain the exclusive property of Fobara and its content creators. Users receive only a limited, non-transferable license for personal educational use.

7. Service Limitations and Availability

Fobara strives to provide continuous service access, however:

  • Services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance
  • Course content and availability may change without notice
  • Technical support is provided during business hours (EET)
  • Internet connectivity requirements are the user's responsibility
  • Course completion deadlines and access periods may apply

8. Limitation of Liability

In accordance with Finnish law, Fobara's liability is limited as follows:

  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific course
  • We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or career results
  • Force majeure events are excluded from liability
  • Statutory consumer rights under Finnish law remain unaffected

9. Data Protection and Privacy

Your personal data is processed in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Finnish data protection laws. For detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy. Educational progress data may be retained for certification and compliance purposes.

10. Termination and Suspension

Fobara reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to educational services in cases of:

  • Violation of these Terms of Service
  • Non-payment of fees or fraudulent payment attempts
  • Inappropriate behavior towards staff or other students
  • Suspected academic dishonesty or course material misuse
  • Legal or regulatory compliance requirements

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes arising from the use of Fobara's educational services will be resolved through:

  • Primary resolution through direct negotiation
  • Mediation via Finnish Consumer Disputes Board if applicable
  • Finnish courts have exclusive jurisdiction for legal proceedings
  • EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform

12. Changes to Terms

Fobara may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes in our educational services or legal requirements. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notifications. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
